Privacy
The Tool Discovery extension is built around the smallest possible amount of data needed to answer one question: "what tools exist for the site I'm currently on?"
What we send
- The registrable domain of the page you're on (e.g.
airtable.com) — never the full URL, path, or query string. - Your locale (e.g.
en-US) — for aggregate stats only. - Your browser version (e.g.
Chrome/142) — for aggregate stats only.
What we never send
- Page URLs, paths, query strings, or fragments.
- Page content, page titles, or screenshots.
- Cookies, localStorage, or any data from the page.
- Any account, install, or device identifier — there is no per-user tracking.
What's stored on your device
The extension stores your discovery preferences and a list of which tool IDs it has shown you for each domain (so it doesn't repeat itself). Nothing in this list is ever sent to our servers.
Public stats
This site shows event counts grouped by domain. Because nothing identifies the originating user, the only thing it reveals is which domains people are looking up. We think that's useful information for tool builders.
